Privacy Policy

Daylist is built to keep your day in front of you — not to collect your data. Your tasks and the wallpaper Daylist generates never leave your iPhone. There is no account and no sign-up. The only information that goes off your device is what's needed to run the optional Daylist Pro subscription, described below.

The short version

• No account. You never sign up, log in, or give us an email to use Daylist.
• Your tasks stay on your device. Task content, completion state, and your reminder preference have no backend and are never transmitted to us or anyone else.
• No tracking. We don't use analytics SDKs, advertising identifiers, or third-party trackers, and we don't track you across other apps or websites.
• Subscription only. If you buy Daylist Pro, your purchase is handled by Apple and by RevenueCat, our subscription-management provider. That's the only data that leaves your device.
• No selling data. We never sell your data.

What data Daylist stores on your device

Everything you enter — your task titles, their completed/incomplete state, your daily-planning reminder preference, your chosen wallpaper style, and any photo you pick as a background — is saved locally on your iPhone using Apple's on-device storage. The Lock Screen wallpaper image that Daylist generates from your tasks is also created and stored on your device. None of this is transmitted to us or to any third party.

Daylist Pro subscription

Daylist offers an optional auto-renewable subscription, Daylist Pro. Purchases are processed by Apple through your App Store account; we never see your name, email, or payment details. To check whether your subscription is active, Daylist uses RevenueCat, Inc. as its subscription-management provider. When you open the paywall or make a purchase, RevenueCat receives your App Store transaction/receipt information and a randomly generated app user ID (not linked to your name or email) so it can validate the purchase and tell the app whether Pro is unlocked. This data is used only to operate the subscription — never for advertising or tracking. See RevenueCat's Privacy Policy and Apple's Privacy Policy. If you never open the paywall, no subscription data is sent.

How the Lock Screen wallpaper works

Daylist renders your task list into a wallpaper image and uses Apple Shortcuts to set it as your Lock Screen. This uses Apple's native, on-device "Set Wallpaper" action. The Shortcut and its automations run entirely on your iPhone; your task content is never sent off the device as part of this process.

Notifications

If you turn on the optional daily-planning reminder, Daylist schedules a local notification on your device to nudge you to plan your tasks. These notifications are generated locally by iOS — no push server is involved, and no information leaves your phone.

Data we do not collect

Daylist does not collect your name, email address, contacts, location, photos, browsing activity, device advertising identifier, or usage analytics. The photo you may choose as a wallpaper background stays on your device and is never uploaded.

Third-party services

Daylist relies on Apple's operating system features (Shortcuts, local notifications, on-device storage) and on Apple's App Store for purchases. The only third-party service the app integrates is RevenueCat, used solely to manage the Daylist Pro subscription as described above. Daylist does not integrate any analytics, advertising, attribution, or crash-reporting SDKs.

Children's privacy

Daylist does not knowingly collect any personal information from anyone, including children under 13.

Data deletion

Because your data lives only on your device, you are always in control of it. Deleting a task removes it, and deleting the Daylist app removes all of its stored data from your iPhone.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, we'll update this page and revise the "Last updated" date above. Because Daylist stores nothing about you, we have no way to notify you directly, so please check back here for the current version.
